Terms of service
Last updated: 2026-10-28
1. Acceptance of these terms
These terms are between you and Ventrical, which runs Kagaya. By creating an account or using Kagaya, you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use Kagaya.
How we handle your data is described in our Privacy policy.
2. The service
Kagaya connects to the tools you choose, finds tasks, promises, asks and decisions in them, and saves them as memories in storage that you own. It can also send you a daily brief, nudges, meeting prep and a weekly recap by email or WhatsApp.
Features and connectors may change. Some features may be in beta. [confirm: any availability commitments]
3. Accounts
You sign in with a Google, Microsoft or GitHub account. Keep your sign-in secure. You are responsible for what happens under your account. Tell us at ventricalhq@gmail.com if you think someone else has used it.
[confirm: minimum age to use the service]
4. Your content and where it is stored
Your memories are saved in your own Google Drive, GitHub repository or OneDrive. They are not stored in our database. They stay yours. We do not claim ownership of them.
You give us permission to read the sources you connect and to write to your storage, only so we can run Kagaya for you. You must have the right to connect the accounts and share the content you bring in.
We do not use your content to train AI models. See the Privacy policy for what we hold and for how long.
5. Acceptable use
Do not use Kagaya to:
- break the law or the rights of others;
- connect accounts or read content you have no right to access;
- send spam or abusive messages, including through WhatsApp or email;
- try to break, probe or overload the service, or get around its limits;
- reverse engineer the service, except where the law allows it;
- share your account with others or resell the service. [confirm: reseller and sharing policy]
We may suspend an account that breaks these rules. [confirm: suspension process]
6. Third-party services
Kagaya works with services such as Google, Microsoft, Slack, Atlassian, Linear, Notion, GitHub, Anthropic, Resend, Meta (WhatsApp), Stripe and Razorpay. They have their own terms and privacy policies. Your use of them is under those terms. We are not responsible for them. If you disconnect or lose access to one, the matching part of Kagaya stops working.
7. AI output may be wrong
Kagaya uses AI to read your messages and write short summaries. AI can miss things, misread things and make mistakes. Items AI finds in your connected apps wait for your confirmation. Items from things you send to Kagaya yourself (forwarded email, WhatsApp, your AI client) are filed directly; you can edit or delete them. Check each one against its source before you rely on it.
You are responsible for decisions you make using Kagaya.
8. Plans and payments
Kagaya has a Free plan and a Pro plan, and a beta. Which features each includes is shown in the app. Hosted AI is part of Pro and the beta. On the Free plan you can add your own AI key.
Payments are handled by Stripe (global) and Razorpay (India). You enter card details on their page. They never reach us. Prices are shown at checkout. [confirm: pricing, billing period and tax]
You can cancel at any time in the app. [confirm: what happens at the end of the billing period]
Refunds: [placeholder]
9. Termination and account deletion
You can stop using Kagaya at any time. You can delete your account in Settings by typing DELETE. When you do, we:
- cancel any active subscription with Stripe or Razorpay first;
- ask Google, Slack and Linear to revoke your access (if one fails, we tell you which);
- uninstall our GitHub Apps from your account, unless they are shared;
- delete all our records for you and clear your cookie.
We cannot revoke Microsoft, Atlassian or Notion access by API. We delete our copy of the tokens. You should also remove Kagaya yourself: in your Microsoft account under app permissions, in Atlassian under connected apps, and in Notion under Settings, My connections.
Files in your own Google Drive, GitHub or OneDrive are not deleted. They stay yours. Data already sent to AI, email, WhatsApp, payment and transcription providers is governed by those providers.
We may suspend or end your access if you break these terms. [confirm: notice period]
10. Disclaimers
Kagaya is provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent the law allows, we do not promise that it will be error-free, uninterrupted or fit for a particular purpose, or that it will find every task, promise, ask or decision. [confirm: warranty wording]
11. Limit of liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses. Our total liability to you is capped at [placeholder].
12. Indemnity
You will cover us for losses caused by your breach of these terms or your misuse of Kagaya, to the extent the law allows. [confirm: indemnity scope]
13. Governing law and courts
These terms are governed by the laws of India. The courts of India have jurisdiction over any dispute about them. [confirm: governing law and dispute process]
14. Changes to these terms
We may change these terms. We will update the date at the top of this page. [confirm: how and when we notify you of material changes] If you keep using Kagaya after a change, you accept the new terms.
